Latanya S. H. King, PsyD, Board President
Dr. Latanya King is an almost 16-year resident of Haverford Township. She is married and a proud parent of three sons; a Psychotherapist, and a College Professor. Dr. King ran for school board because she believes in public school education and advocating for others. Furthermore, she believes that public education has an opportunity and responsibility to provide our children with the best learning experiences, so that we can continue to build strong communities for future generations. Dr. King is committed to advocating for whole-child approaches to learning, quality educational resources, and inclusive learning spaces.
As a parent in the district, Dr. King is an active member of the Chestnutwold community, volunteering as homeroom parent, and various activities within the PTO. Dr. King values relationships. She seeks opportunities to build relationships with teachers, staff, and parents in the school community, to share ideas, and progress as a community.
Dr. King received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hampton University; her Master of Arts in Counseling from Immaculata University; and, her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University. Currently, Dr. King teaches courses at Rosemont College in the Psychology Department; and, at Saint Joseph’s University in the Teacher Education Department. She has over 16 years of behavioral health experience. Over the years, Dr. King has provided mental health treatment to children and adults in various settings. Dr. King is an advocate for mental health in our community, as she also serves on the Delaware County Mental Health/Intellectual Developmental Disability Advisory Board. Given her professional background, Dr. King values the importance of education, and social-emotional wellness for our Haverford Township students.
Dr. King prides herself on being an active member of the community, and an advocate for others. She is involved in various community organizations. She is the founder of the local non-profit group, the BIPOC Parents of Haverford Township, where its focus is promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, through acts of service in our community. Dr. King values the importance of diverse representation, equitable opportunities, and inclusive spaces. She believes that each child should have the opportunity to reach their best potential and feel included in their school community. For this reason, Dr. King believes that providing equitable resources and inclusive learning environments, will further strengthen our schools and our community.

Chris Shelton. Ph.D., Vice-President
Originally from Texas, Chris Shelton moved to Haverford Township from Oregon in 1999. Raised by a high school biology teacher, Chris recognizes and is committed to the value of public education. Chris received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a Ph.D. in genetics at the University of Texas. With over 30 years of experience as a research scientist and scientific leader in oncology drug development, Chris Shelton brings a passion for STEM education to the school board.
Chris believes our students will look to the district for a commitment to their future, with a focus on sustainability and a strategic plan that recognizes the value of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Chris is committed to working with the district and community to provide students with the high-quality, forward-looking education they need to thrive in a complex and changing society.
Chris and his spouse live in Havertown, and their three children, two of whom have graduated from the district. Family activities, including volunteering with scouting, community events, marching band, and music programs, have kept Chris connected to the community and district. All three of Chris’s children have participated in the district’s excellent music program, and Chris is on the Band and Orchestra Parents (BOPs) board. Chris’s interests include cycling, sailing, karate, and music.

LaTonia Lee is a Special Education Advocate and a Veteran. She currently works as an HR Director of Employee and Labor Relations in a highly unionized healthcare environment. Additionally, she serves on the Board of the Maurice Rush Foundation, a local non-profit that supports parents of children with Autism.
LaTonia is passionate about supporting the parents and students in the School District of Haverford Township and Delaware County. She is the Co-Chair of the Delaware County Right to Education Task Force, where she helps parents navigate the educational system. LaTonia is also an Education Surrogate in Delaware County, supporting students without parents or guardians.
LaTonia is a highly qualified candidate for the School Board, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Law Degree. In 2021, she completed the C2P2 – Competence and Confidence: Partners in Policymaking training program offered by Temple University on Disabilities. She is excited to use her extensive experience and training to contribute to the the School District of Haverford Township education system. LaTonia is a proud mother of two and has lived in Haverford Township for 9 years.

Kimberly McKay, PhD, LSW, M.Ed.
Dr. Kim McKay is a professor, social worker, and counselor. With over 20 years as a social worker and 11 years of teaching in higher education, Dr. McKay brings to the role of School Director experience, knowledge, and a commitment to support every student’s ability to thrive. Kim strongly believes the strength of any community lies in the strength of its public education and the collective support of its youth and excited to bring an approach to school board governance that is practical, evidence-grounded, and compassionate.
Dr. McKay has a great passion for teaching and continual learning. Dr. McKay’s teaching experience includes curriculum development and evaluation for gender & sexuality, human development, policy, ethics, individual and family counseling and communication. Dr. McKay currently works as a counselor and continues to teach courses in social work departments at local universities.
Dr. McKay earned a Ph.D. in Social Work and a Masters of Education from Widener University and a Masters of Social Work and a B.S. in Child Development from University of Utah. Kim is the parent of two Haverford School District students.

Dave Schwartz ran for school board in order to bring his background in Civil Engineering and Urban Planning to help oversee and guide the future of the District's facilities and infrastructure. A product of the public school system, Dave is a strong proponent of public education and believes that strong schools build strong communities.
Dave received his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University and a Masters in Civil and Transportation Engineering from Villanova University. As a licensed Civil Engineer, he feels very strongly about promoting STEM programs in our schools at all levels and will seek to incorporate hands-on learning for science programs throughout the District. He also served on Haverford Township's Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) for nine years and wants to ensure that facility planning and design will be done in a way to increase energy efficiency, incorporate Green Infrastructure, and reduce our carbon footprint to further cement the School District's role as a leader in environmental stewardship. Dave feels that our schools should not only prepare our children for the future, but should also ensure that they have a bright and promising future.
Dave and his wife have lived in Haverford Township since 2010 and have been residents of Delaware County for nearly 20 years. They have two children in the District.

Antoinette Snodgrass is an attorney, parent, and advocate for public schools. Antoinette attended Pennsylvania public schools from kindergarten to her education at Temple Law School. She is currently an attorney in the Philadelphia office of a national law firm. She has a diverse law practice and works for clients around the country on small and large matters. Antoinette's practice includes a variety of litigation cases, from business to business disputes, to class actions and products liability. Additionally, she advises clients on contractual drafting and interpretation, with an eye toward avoiding litigation. Finally, a significant portion of her matters involve environmental disputes and remediation, as well as other regulatory matters. Antoinette has an active pro bono practice, focusing on matters surrounding asylum seekers.
Antoinette and her husband have three daughters, two of whom are enthusiastic Haverford students and the other very excited to become one. When she moved to Haverford Township six years ago, she immediately felt a sense of belonging in our fantastic community. Since then, she has integrated into the community and enjoyed getting to know others in the Township. Antoinette ran for school board to give back to the community that she loves, make meaningful contributions to the Township, and continue to build on the District’s reputation for excellence.

Nicole Snyder was born and raised in New Jersey, where she attended public schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. As the first in her family to graduate from college and a lifelong learner, she deeply values the impact of strong public education. When she and her husband moved to the area, they sought a community that reflected the close-knit environment and excellent schools she experienced growing up. They found what they were looking for in Haverford Township and are now raising their four children here, all of whom attend schools in the district. Nicole is an active community member and has volunteered in various youth programs, including coaching lacrosse through the CREC.
Nicole brings more than 20 years of experience in education and nonprofit leadership. She holds a master’s degree in Urban and Special Education, earned as part of the New York City Teaching Fellows program. Her teaching background spans diverse learning environments, including under-resourced public schools in New York City, highly-resourced public schools in Palo Alto, as well as parochial and independent schools. During her tenure in Palo Alto, she served as a district coordinator and trainer for their evidence-based literacy intervention program. Across these varied contexts, she has taught students with diverse learning needs, including students with autism requiring small-group specialized instruction.
In her current role as Associate Director of Donor Relations at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, Nicole focuses on donor engagement and nonprofit stewardship support. She is also actively involved in local volunteering and philanthropy through organizations such as Project W, 100 Women in Philadelphia, and The Saturday Club, which focus on initiatives that benefit women, children, and families across the region. Nicole is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and enjoys serving on their local Board of Directors, where she is able to enhance philanthropic effectiveness in Greater Philadelphia through ethical fundraising practices, professional development, and service. Her combined experience as an educator, nonprofit professional, and engaged community member informs her commitment to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and academically strong learning environment for all Haverford students.
Bridget Wiedeman has been on the SDHT School Board since 2018 and served as Vice President for several years before becoming Board President. With the Pennsylvania School Boards Association and at the county level, Bridget is engaged in advocacy, issues and best practices for school boards.
Bridget's expertise lies in community development finance, investing in schools, health centers, and child care centers to revitalize communities. As a Senior Director at Reinvestment Fund, she analyzes financial projections and structures capital solutions for facility projects, typically for government-funded entities. Bridget brings her expertise in educational facility financing to the School Board and works to address issues concerning the budget, facilities, and performance to continue the tradition of providing high-quality schools and to ensure that all of our students thrive in Haverford Township.
Bridget received her B.S. in Economics and Finance from Boston College and her Masters of Public Affairs/Urban and Regional Planning from Princeton University. Prior to her board service, she was an active volunteer on the PTO and with clubs at Chestnutwold Elementary. She and her husband have called Haverford Township home for 20+ years and are proud parents to a HHS student and a graduate of our schools.
