    Class Expectations and Policies

Haverford High School Mathematics Department’s expectations for students:

           1.  Students are expected to attend classes regularly and be on time.

           2.  Students are expected to be prepared for class everyday with the proper tools necessary
                for the course.

           3.  Every student will be expected to demonstrate appropriate self control during each                   class period.

           4.  Homework must be clearly attempted every night to receive credit.

           5.  All students are expected to take daily notes, complete practice problems and
participate in class discussions and group work.

           6.  Missed work and assignments must be made up in a timely manner.  It is the student's
responsibility to make arrangements to make up missed tests, quizzes, and projects.

           7.  In order to be successful in math, students must review and practice concepts each
night.  When studying for a test or quiz, students should redo problems done in class               to reinforce the concepts.
           8.  Cell phone and iPod/headphone usage will be determined by the teacher.  These
types of technology will be permitted only when stated by the teacher.  Turn OFF all                 cell phones upon entering class.
             9.  If you fall behind or do not understand a topic or concept, after school help is always
available.  Utilize the Math Center or make an appointment with me.
