Students are encouraged to engage in math activities to reinforce math skills and concepts that connect math to their world.   In seventh grade students focused on the following big ideas:
  1. The Number System
  2. Ratios and Proportional Relationships
  3. Expressions and Equations
  4. Geometry
  5. Statistics and Probability
A variety of math websites are provided so that students may review, enrich and challenge their math understanding. 
  1. http://www.khanacademy.org/   Students can sign into this website and select their grade.  Students will be given an assessment followed by videos and problems targeted to their appropriate learning level.
  2. https://www.mathgames.com/grade7  Math games has interactive games that can be set for any grade level.  In addition, students can practice specific skills at each grade level.  If students create a free user account, they can track their progress.
  3. https://xtramath.org  XtraMath helps students practice their basic math facts. It takes less than ten minutes and can be done from any web connected computer. The program is free, there is no advertising, and your child’s information stays completely private.
  4. https://www.ixl.com/  IXL is an immersive K-12 learning experience that provides comprehensive, standards-aligned content. Students can select their grade and a specific area to solve problems.  Without signing up students can solve 10 problems in each skill level every day.
  5. http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/math.htm  Free online kids math games make learning fun. Topics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, money, algebra, and place value.
