About Mrs. Sweeney
I graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Elementary Education (K-8) with a discipline in science.  I live in West Chester with my husband, my son Finn, and my dog, Murphy.  This will be my twelfth year teaching at HMS.  I will be teaching five sections of 6th grade Science.  I am also certified to teach both Middle School Science and Middle School Mathematics.  I have my Master's Degree from Drexel University in Science in Learning Technologies and am an Instructional Technology Specialist. During my free time I like to play ice hockey on a local women's team, ski all around the world, take my road bike on long rides, go to the Jersey Shore with my family, hike, travel (see my pictures below in Big Sky, Montana, Whistler, BC, India at the Taj Mahal and riding an elephant, South Africa on a safari, and hiking the Grand Canyon), spend time decorating my house, enjoy the outdoors, read, and workout. I am looking forward to a very exciting year at Haverford Middle School with the team of Arctic Fox Team 6th graders!
