About Me as a Teacher

I love teaching and learning!  I am thrilled to be back at Lynnewood as a Reading Specialist this year. I have also taught second grade here at Lynnewood. Before joining the Haverford family, I spent fourteen years in the Upper Darby School District teaching kindergarten, first grade, fourth grade and fifth grade.  I have also taught ELL and served as a building Literacy Coach.   I look forward to growing in this position with new experiences, challenges and successes!

About Me as a Learner

As an undergraduate student, I attended Miami University of Ohio, where I received my degree in Elementary Education and was certified to teach K-6.  After teaching in the classroom for a few years, I decided to return to the classroom at the University of Pennsylvania where I studied in the Reading/Writing/Literacy program. I earned my Master's Degree and became certified as a Reading Specialist as well as an ELL Specialist.

About My Family

I grew up in Erie Pennsylvania with my mom, dad and sister.  My parents still live in Erie and my sister lives in New York City.  I currently live in Havertown with my husband, our two boys, Patrick and Peyton, and our daughter Lauren.  Patrick is in sixth grade, Peyton is in fourth grade this year, and Lauren is 2 1/2 years old.
