Student Council has begun the process of prepping for the food drive which is going to look INCREDIBLY different this year due to...well, you know.
What is not different this year is the importance of helping our needy families. Scratch that - it is different because the assistance is needed more than ever. So, I'm reaching out to you to really pump up the kids as much as possible as you always do. Here are the details to share.
This year, students will NOT be bringing food items to homerooms but rather to Picture Day on Saturday, Nov. 14 and Sunday, Nov. 15. There will be tables set up for individual grades, and we have a list of recommended items for each grade. Students can bring their donations to picture day and drop the items off with us. They will be packed and shipped to HHS and eventually delivered to our families.
Please watch the Student Council video, for more information
Here is the list of recommended items per grade level:
Food Drive Items- 2020
**No glass jars or cans will be accepted (except for canned fish/meats) **
Granola Bars/Pop tarts
Boxed Soups (please no cans)
Mac and cheese (please no other pasta items)
Pasta Sauce (in plastic containers)
|Monetary donations are being accepted this year to help purchase food gift cards to local restaurants for families within the community who may be experiencing food insecurity during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
If you are looking to make a donation of any type, we would be really grateful for monetary donations in the form of gift cards to local restaurants. We thought this would be great as it would support our local businesses too. These can be given to me or Jocelyn D directly.
As always, thanks for your support. Let's show these kids what H-Pride really means!
