Student Led Parent Conferences
November 5, 2018
Dear Haverford Middle School Family:
|How to Sign Up For a Conference|
We are excited to be offering Student-Led Conferences for our fall parent-teacher conferences to all three grades this school year! A Student-Led Conference is a student driven conference where the student is responsible for facilitating the discussion regarding their performance, progress, goals, and action plan for improvement. Teachers will participate in the conference as well, but it is the student’s responsibility to lead the conference. Student have been preparing to lead their Student-Led Conference since September.
Student-Led Conferences increase student accountability, promote goal setting, increase communication between the student, family, and school, and teach students how to set goals, self-evaluate, and communicate. During the Student-Led Conference, your child will share with you work samples, strengths and areas of improvement they identified, and goals they have set.
Fall parent-teacher conferences are scheduled on the following dates and times:
- Monday, November 19th 11:00 – 3:40 PM
- Tuesday, November 20th 11:00 – 3:40 PM & 5:30 - 7:30 PM
- Wednesday, November 21st 11:00 – 2:35 PM
