American Education Week

November 16, 2019

Dear Haverford Middle School Family:

We will be celebrating American Education Week on Friday, November 22, 2019.  You are invited to visit your child’s classroom(s) during the hours of 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. American Education Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that your child receives a quality education.

All new visitors to our school must have their valid state-issued ID scanned on the Raptor Visitor Management System for security purposes. If you visited our school this year and received a visitor pass through the Raptor Visitor Management System, then you are in our system and we can preprint a visitor badge for you.  If you have not visited our school this year then you may stop by the school on Thursday, November 21st from 5:00-7:00 PM to prescan your ID.  If you prescan your ID, then we will have your visitor badge printed and waiting for you on Friday, November 22nd.

We ask that you please observe the following guidelines during your visit:

  • Please email Mrs. Michelle D’Avella (mdavella@haverfordsd.net) if you plan to visit on Friday, November 22nd so that we can preprint a visitor badge for you.
  • Please review the daily bell schedule link here ---> (Schedule) so that you can time your visit.
  • Check-in at the main office and secure a visitor badge.
  • Park in a legal spot and know that parking will be very limited
  • Move in and out of the classrooms as quietly as possible.
  • Avoid interrupting/distracting the teaching and learning that will be occurring.
  • Turn off or silence cell phones and/or other electronic devices.
  • Do not bring food or beverages into the school.
  • Do not bring children with you.
  • Visitation to the cafeteria during lunch periods will not be offered.

We appreciate your anticipated cooperation and look forward to your visit.

Sincerely,

Daniel J. Horan
