Dear Class of 2024,

Welcome to 7th grade!  As your new Assistant Principal, it is my pleasure to welcome you back to another great school year.  I am very excited to work with you and your families as we embark on a new journey of learning and growth at Haverford Middle School.

My experience in education began in 2006 when I graduated from Cabrini College with a degree in Elementary and Special Education.  A few years later, in 2011, I received my Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership from Neumann University. Prior to becoming an administrator, I spent eight years as a special education teacher at Manoa Elementary School.  During that time, I had the opportunity to teach students in grades K- 5.   Immediately following my time in the classroom, I took on a leadership role as a teacher on special assignment.  In this role, I directly assisted the Autistic Support and Emotional Support Programs here in the Haverford School District.  I often reflect on my experiences in Haverford Township and I am eternally grateful for being embraced by supportive administrators, talented educators and a devoted community of students and families.

I am thrilled to be a member of the Middle School Administrative Team.  It is my personal goal to dedicate time and effort to ensure that all students have a positive and memorable experience in 7th grade.  I believe that educational progress is derived from strong teacher-student relationships, collaboration and a collective commitment to academic success.  It is a privilege to play such an important role at HMS and I look forward to becoming an integral part of the middle school experience.  It’s going to be a great year!  See you on September 4th.

Kind Regards,

Michelle Kaczmarski
