Mr. Knapp is looking forward to coaching for the second year this season; primarily getting to know his athletes, while passing along his knowledge of baseball.
Besides coaching the Middle School baseball team, Mr. Knapp is a coach for the varsity wrestling team at the High School.
Ed Brocklesby - Coach
Mr. Brock started teaching at HMS in 1999. Having a love for all sports Mr. Brocklesby "Mr. Brock" has coached 5 sports at HMS. He previously coached the boy's lacrosse team for 4 years, and the boy's soccer team for 2. Mr. Brocklesby coached the 115lb. football team for 13 years, the wrestling team for 14 years, and has been coaching baseball here since 2003. Mr. Brocklesby loves helping his young athletes build a strong foundation, and hopes this will carry over to the High School. Coaching also provides him with the opportunity to teach many valuable life skills that will help his student athletes live more positive and productive lives.
Matt Cohen - Co-Coach
Mr. Cohen has been coaching 8th grade basketball since 2000, 2002 here at HMS. Having played at Lower Merion High School, he likes now playing the new Central League opponents. Coach Cohen loves teaching the fundamentals and defensive principles. "Defending with Dignity" has been the battle cry as of late. He still plays recreationally in North West Philly when not getting dunked on by The Harlem Wizards.
Jason Finn - Co-Coach
Dr. Jason Finn: an author, U.S. Fulbright recipient, and Haverford Middle School Seminar teacher who spends the school year devising lesson plans where he can wear a wig. Since 1994, he has been crafting sublime stupidity with whimsical abandon using the calculations of a nerd, the brutality of a prison warden, and the finesse of a Frenchman.
His philosophy? Play like you mean it with Dignity and Integrity.
Mr. Miglionico, a.k.a. Mr. Migs, has coached basketball at HMS for four years. He has studied and played the game ever since he could dribble a basketball. Mr Migs believes in coaching the fundamentals followed by advanced strategies of the game. In his second season as a head coach he would brag that his team went undefeated, but his players would never brag as he teaches about class and sportsmanship above all. “Win the boards and you will win the game.”
Mrs. Eppolito has been coaching HMS cheerleading since 2015. Having participated in Haverford Middle School and High School cheerleading programs, Mrs. Eppolito knows the level of commitment, dedication, and life lesson that can be learned on the mat and on the side lines. Mrs. Eppolito enjoys sharing her passion for cheerleading and guiding young women to be leaders in the school and in the community. Go Fords!

Trish Young - Coach
Coaching provides Mrs. Young a chance to help student-athletes set personal goals and develop a plan throughout the season to achieve them much like they need to in the classroom and life. She believes that the middle school running programs are great ways to introduce student-athletes to running and to help develop their love for the sport, learn to work together as a team, represent their school with H-Pride, and have fun!
Mrs. Young is in her 15th year of coaching cross-country. Mrs. Young ran cross-country and track all four years in college and has been involved in these sports either as a coach or athlete for the past 40 years.

Ms. Viola - Coach
Miss Viola is a multi-sport coach who strives to help young players grow into successful student athletes. She graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School in 2007. While at Prendie she was an All-Catholic and All-Delco athlete in field hockey, swimming and lacrosse. After graduating high school, she went on swim for one year at West Chester University for the reigning PSAC champion Rams. She then played for WCU's national qualifying club lacrosse team for three years. While at West Chester, Miss Viola also played intramural field hockey. Miss Viola has been coaching various sports for over 10 years and is excited to help students better themselves as athlete's and teammate's.

Tony Miglionico - Coach
Mr. Miglionico, a.k.a Mr. Migs, has coached football since 2013. He has coached on both sides of the ball and special teams as well. Like any true coach of the game he believes the battle is won in the trenches at the line of scrimmage, though, outsmarting the other coach with trick plays, never hurts. He believes football is truly a sport about life lessons and coaches with this mentality.

Ryan Grabias - Coach
Mr. Grabias has been teaching PE and coaching at HMS since 2014. Before coaching at HMS, Mr. Grabias coached football at Strath Haven Middle School, where he student taught. As a coach, Mr. Grabias strives to help his players improve throughout the year and be in a great position to step into the high school program. As a player, he played at Interboro High School and was a 3-time league champion. He earned 1st teams All league honors and 2nd team All-Delco as a senior as an offensive lineman. Mr. Grabias loves coaching the students at HMS and seeing the players succeed.
James Jeffers - Coach
I have been teaching IPS and Honors Physics at Haverford High School for 5 years. I have been coaching at Haverford since my 2nd year in the district. I currently assist Coach Grabias with the Unlimited Football team and I am an Assistant Varsity Track Coach at the high school where I work with the throwing athletes. I volunteer and help with the freshman football team during their summer practices prior to the start of the school year and my previous football coaching experience include roles at the junior varsity, varsity, and collegiate (DIII and DI FCS) levels. I played high school football at Burlington Twp High School (NJ) and collegiately at Muhlenberg College (PA).

Natalie Rube - Head Coach
Natalie Rube began coaching for the HMS lacrosse program in 2018 after coaching girls lacrosse at HHS (JVB) for 5 years. She attended the University of Delaware where she played on the Club Lacrosse team specializing in midfield and defense. Ms. Rube also currently coaches JV Volleyball at HHS and coached diving at HHS from 2015 - 2018.
Kaitlin Harris - Head Coach
Kaitlin Harris began coaching the 8th grade girls lacrosse team in 2014. Ms. Harris graduated from Drexel University in December 2013 with an Elementary and Special Education degree. She played lacrosse at Drexel all four years on defense and in the midfield. Ms. Harris also coach for the Dynamite club lacrosse 2019 team.
Mr. Knapp graduated from Haverford High School in 2010, where he wrestled varsity for four years and became a member of Haverfords 100 win club. He also ran cross country, played football and baseball. He attended Shippensburg University and graduated with a degree in psychology in 2014. While at Shippensburg Mr. Knapp wrestled varsity for the Raiders at the 184 pound weight class. Julia DeVincent - Coach
Julia DeVincent has been a Speech Language Pathologist at HMS and coaching Boy's Soccer since 2016. Ms. DeVincent also coaches swimming at Aronomink Swim Club in the summer. She loves to motivate and progress players to their potential in all forms of athletics. As an athlete, Ms. DeVincent swam for Upper Dublin High School and then went on to compete at the collegiate level at Bloomsburg University, where she was a 4x PSAC qualifier, named 2x PSAC all league, and 6x NCAA-B cut qualifier. Additionally, she was named a PSAC scholar athlete all 4 years. Ms. DeVincent is excited for another successful season with the Fords!
In addition to coaching soccer, Ms. Ramos teaches 8th grade technology education and sponsors the Yearbook and Makers' Community Club. Ms. Ramos not only strives to develop fundamental soccer skills, but leadership, teamwork, and a positive, can do attitudes. She is very excited for the upcoming season!

Mr. Karwoski has been teaching at the Middle School since 2008, and with Haverford School District since 2005. His coaching career started at Spring-Ford Middle School in 2003 where he coached the 7th grade team for 3 years. His last year at Spring-ford the team was undefeated for the season. While teaching in the Haverford Middle School Mr. K has also coached the 8th grade Softball team for 3 years and is was very happy to resume coaching as the 7th grade coach for the 2019 season.
Entering her 4th year coaching track here at HMS, Ms Collins is excited to be involved in a sport she loves. She is a previous distance and hurdle runner and still participates in many charity races around the area. Track and field helps teach student athletes about discipline and sportsmanship while having fun with the sport. The goal for Spring Boys' Track is to create a team of supportive athletes who will learn from each other and the sport as they prepare for the high school level track and field. Mrs. Young ran cross-country and track in middle school, high school and college and has been involved in these sports either as a coach or athlete for the past 40 years.
