Welcome to Manoa Elementary School where we believe in educating life-long scholars! At Manoa, we pride ourselves on developing the whole child academically and socially. Our scholars thrive in an environment and culture that supports and challenges them as students, fosters collaboration, and prepares them to be life-long learners in an ever-changing society. Our dedicated teaching staff and faculty are committed to providing our Manoa Scholars with the skills and knowledge they need to become the leaders of tomorrow.
To foster a sense of community, each teacher begins the day with a Morning Meeting from Responsive Classroom. Scholars engage in a Greeting, Sharing and Activity during Morning Meeting. Morning Meeting is a great way to start off our school day! Also, at the end of each month we recognize Character Count winners for a specific character trait that has been discussed and modeled during the month. Our Character Counts Pillars are: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. During our Character Counts assemblies, specific classrooms are recognized and receive the Silver Slipper, Silver Spoon, and Silver Sneaker awards for exceptional behavior in our hallways, cafeteria and playground. Of course, during our assemblies, our very special guest, Maximus, makes an appearance to congratulate our Manoa Scholars!
We are very fortunate and grateful to have an active PTO; which supports Manoa in a variety of ways. Various activities and fundraisers promote a strong sense of community and school spirit. Our Annual Fall Fair and Spring Fun Fair are just a few of the many fun activities that are supported and run by our PTO.
A dedicated faculty, super scholars, active PTO, and supportive parents are what make Manoa a great place for our scholars to grow and learn!
