This Friday night our  Warriors-Hannah, and Lilly will be driving around Havertown with their friends on a school bus to check out all the green lights that people have hung up to support them.  They will be stopping at HMS between 7:30 and 7:45. The middle school has an activity night on Friday. All the students will be coming out to greet them. It would be awesome to have a bunch of teachers from HHS to stand outside and show these wonderful young ladies how much we care!!  Please consider coming out and standing in front of the middle school to help show our support!!!💚

Monday, February 24 - There will be an AP Art interest meeting after school on Monday, in room 124. Please attend or check in with Ms. Colby if you're interested in taking the course next year.

"This year, on March 27th, the annual Haverford’s Finest Pageant will take place! 

Haverford’s Finest is a 20-year-old tradition held each spring in which contestants compete in four different events – Group Dance, Entrance, Individual Video, and Talent. BUT in order to be in the show, they first have to be voted on by YOU, the student body. If you missed it on H-Vision, go to the link below to see contestants’ entry videos. Haverford High School Drama Club presents

NO PLACE FOR HATE

No Place for Hate will be holding its second Fishbowl of the academic year next Wednesday, February 26, in room 126, during block 3. The discussion will be "Social Pressures" and the topic will be, "How Are Social Pressures From School, Family, and Friends Affecting the Student Body, and For Those Negatively Affected, Are There Solutions To Overcoming These Pressures?" Please feel free to give permission slips to your students. All are welcome to attend! Thank you for your support!

The 2020 Haverford High School Yearbook Staff

If you have not paid your Senior Dues, please do so as soon as possible.  If this is a hardship to anyone, please see Mr. Hankel, 12th Grade Assistant Principal.  You may pay your dues online using the following link:  SENIOR DUES PAYMENT.

From our Guidance Department - The online application for the Haverford High School Local Scholarship and Awards will open on Monday, March 2nd and will close at 3:00 PM Friday, March 20th.  Students may apply through the Counseling website.

 

 

Delaware County Technical Schools

All applications for the Delaware County Technical Schools were due to Ms. Vindler by February 14th. Applications can be found outside of her office. Please see your counselor for more information.

9th and 10th grade Dance

The 9th and 10th-grade dance will be on 2/28. Tickets will be on sale 2/10 until 2/21 during all lunches in the MAIN OFFICE. Tickets are $10 each. Permission slips will be required for students requesting to bring a guest from another school. 

Club Meetings

Detentions: Detention will now be held in the mornings, beginning at 7:00 AM, in Room 126.  If you can not attend in the AM, afternoon detention will be held at 2:30 pm in Room 114.

Attendance - Any late note, early dismissal note, absence excuse note, and classroom attendance should be turned into the Attendance Office. The Attendance Office is located ACROSS from the Main Office, by the Front Entrance. 

Art Club and Fashion Club will meet on Tuesday 2:30 - 3:45 in rooms 120 & 122. This is an open studio, all are welcome. Lessons, project help, and materials are available. Mrs. Marshall & Ms. Talkin, sponsors

Math Center - WIll open every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 - 3:30 in Room 337
Need help with Math? Need a place to get your math homework done,  or a place to get some help with your math class? The Math Center is the place for you!

Guitar Club - Do play guitar, bass or ukulele? If so, then Guitar Club is for you! Amps and guitars are available for those without instruments. Guitar Club meets in room 226 on Wednesday from 2:30-3:30. See Mr. Althouse for more details.

AP Registration and Fees 

STUDENTS WHO SIGNED UP TO TAKE A FALL SEMESTER OR FULL YEAR AP EXAM WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY FOR THEIR EXAMS BY FEBRUARY 21, 2020. IF YOU SIGNED UP TO TAKE AN EXAM AND YOU WISH TO CANCEL, YOU WILL STILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE $40.00 UNUSED EXAM FEE (AS PER COLLEGE BOARD). YOU MUST PROVIDE A NOTE FROM A PARENT OR GUARDIAN TO CANCEL AN EXAM. CHECK OR MONEY ORDER CAN BE MADE OUT TO "HAVERFORD HIGH SCHOOL" AND GIVEN TO MRS. NOVINO IN THE COUNSELING OFFICE. AP EXAMS ARE $94 EACH.
