DISCOVER DAY - DISCOVER WEEKLY ACTIVITIES
This year the Haverford Science Academy has been working on a COVID-friendly alternative to DISCOVER Day.
Saturday, May 1st starting at 9:00 AM our high school students will help lead livestreamed science demonstrations (chemistry, astronomy, bugs, and more) as well as providing instructions for make-and-take activities. The demonstrations will be recorded and available to view on demand on the YouTube Channel afterwards.

This week over 500 ScribbleBot kits were distributed throughout our elementary schools. As a reminder, the kit is designed for school-aged children and contains small parts, such as batteries. We want to make parents/guardians aware of the small parts if there are younger children at home. Children should be supervised at all times when using these kits.
Throughout the remaining weeks of school, our high school students hope to provide a variety of science-themed activities for our elementary-aged friends. Our high schoolers have recorded themselves reading some science-themed books that we will share on YouTube and our social media account. We have included all the accounts below so you can follow long.
