Library & Computer Skills
Library instruction supports the English Language Arts standards while also introducing students to digital and print resources. Students are taught how to navigate a library and introductory computer skills in grades 2 through 5, and an overview of topics at each of these grade levels is given below. Students receive instruction in methods for searching for information and vetting resources while learning how to conduct research.
Our librarians are also experts on books that will interest their students and share or suggest books that will hook their readers. Our library collections are always evolving and are currently being reviewed and bolstered to ensure there are a variety of texts that align with our district goal of diversity and inclusion.
