    Professional information:
I embarked my professional career at HMS as an 8th grade math teacher in 2007.   Since then, I was given amazing opportunities to teach different content areas in diverse contexts.  I am soOooOoOO EXCITED to explore and celebrate with you world of differences in Social Studies!
I studied Education at Temple University with a focus in Elementary, Special, and Early Childhood Education.  I completed my MS.Ed at University of Pennsylvania, concentrating my studies in Reading, Writing and Literacy, and recently finished TESOL certification program at Temple University in hope to become a better resource for emergent language learners/bilinguals.  I'm also a proud graduate of Philadelphia Central High School (260th class)!!!
    PA certified in following disciplines:
    - Elementary Education
    - Special Education
    - Early Childhood Education
    - TESOL (Teaching English to speakers of other languages)
    Hobbies & Interests:
I LOVE to travel. I have traveled to 7 different countries across 4 continents and have developed an unsurpassed appreciation for world culture.  It's my desire to share and celebrate my experiences with you to help you gain a greater world-view.
During my free time, I like to travel, hang out with friends (whatever that means... lol), shop, work out, and hunt for neat places to eat.  My favorite ice cream flavors are green tea, vanilla and chocolate.  Also, I LOVE the PHILLIES!!

“Education either functions as an instrument which is used to facilitate integration of the younger generation into the logic of the present system and bring about conformity or it becomes the practice of freedom, the means by which men and women deal critically and creatively with reality and discover how to participate in the transformation of their world.” ― Paulo Freire

"Love cannot remain by itself — it has no meaning. Love has to be put into action and that action is service."- Mother Teresa
“The teacher is of course an artist, but being an artist does not mean that he or she can make the profile, or can shape the students.
What the educator does in teaching is to make it possible for the students to become themselves.”
