PSSA Results

September 2025

Dear Parents/Guardians:

The 2025 Pennsylvania System of School Assessment, PSSA, was administered in Spring 2025 to  3rd through 8th-grade students. The PSSAs are designed to assess proficiency in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science (5th/8th only). Enclosed are the Individual Student Reports for your child in the tested subject(s) of English Language Arts and Mathematics. Although 5th and 8th-grade students participated in the Science PSSA, new standards are being tested for the baseline year, and scores will not be reported (per PDE).

Your child’s report provides individual student scores and state goals for comparison. These scores reflect proficiency in tested content areas and how our students are performing compared to others in Pennsylvania. While these scores are used to evaluate students’ academic proficiency, they are only one factor to consider in your child’s overall educational attainment.

The Frequently Asked Questions and PDE-Report Interpretation Guide can be found on the district website under Departments> Learning and Assessment> PSS Results to assist you in further understanding the individual student report.

Please contact your child's principal with questions about the Pennsylvania assessment program.

Sincerely,
Christina Carter
Director of Learning and Assessment
