Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: What is the registration process?

A: You will first complete the online registration here. Once the online registration portion is complete, a parent/guardian must schedule an in-person appointment with the Registrar, Stacey Mattox, at the Oakmont Central Administration Building to submit the additional required documents (proof of birth, proof of residency, and immunization records). The online program will also prompt you to print 9 forms to complete and bring with you to your appointment (these forms are also located on the main Student Registration page

Q: Can I mail/email/fax my registration information or just show up to drop it off?

A: No. An in-person appointment is required in the event there are questions about your registration material. Registration is by appointment only due to the high volume of families who need to register. An appointment system ensures a smooth and efficient process, both for families and the Registrar.

Q: How long will my registration appointment take?

A: The appointment should take approximately 30 minutes. If you are registering multiple children, you will need to make an appointment for each of them. We ask that you please arrive on time. Please call us to cancel any appointment you are unable to keep.

Q: Do I need to bring my child to the registration appointment?

A: No. Your child is not required at the registration appointment.

Q: Where is the Oakmont Central Administration Building?

A:  The Oakmont Central Administration Building is located at 50 East Eagle Road, Havertown, PA 19083.
The Registrar's office is accessed from the main entrance on Eagle Road.

Q: When will I know the school bus details for my child?

A: For students eligible to receive school bus service (those who do not live within a walk zone), bus details will be provided to you from the Transportation department after the Registration process has been completed.
Bus passes are sent to parents/guardians mid-August.

Want to know where your child's bus is? The District implemented the Edulog Parent Portal, a self-service app that allows you to track your child’s assigned transportation from their school. Track in real-time your child’s bus’s position as well as configuring notifications to alert you when your child’s bus is nearing pickup or drop-off.

The Edulog Parent Portal is now available to parents and students. Parents/Guardians can use the app to get started today! Your student's id number along with their date of birth is needed to register.

For any student not attending a SDHT school, parents/guardians can complete a request on the transportation website for a login.
