UPDATED May 3, 2022:  Please read below for important updates regarding summer school tuition, location, and limited transportation for the summer of 2022.

We are pleased to inform you that due to ESSER funding summer school tuition will be reduced to $50.00 per subject for the summer of 2022. This tuition reduction is made possible through American Rescue Plan (ARP) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER).

If you have already sent a check as payment for summer school tuition, we will return it to you. Please send a new check for the reduced amount no later than May 14. Checks should be made out to The School District of Haverford Township and sent to The Oakmont Administration Building; Attn: Jackie Feldman; 50 E. Eagle Rd., Havertown, PA 19083.

Due to grounds and facilities work scheduled at Manoa Elementary School, summer school has been moved to Lynnewood Elementary School located at 1400 Lawrence Road, Havertown, PA.

ESSER Funds allow us to provide limited transportation for 2022 summer school. Buses will pick students up at their elementary schools and take them to Lynnewood for the first session. Buses will take students from Lynnewood back to their elementary schools after the second session. There will be no transportation between sessions.

The summer school schedule and orientation information will be sent prior to the close of the school year. Questions can be directed to Jackie Feldman at or (610) 853-5900 extension 7203. We look forward to a successful summer school experience for your child.

Pearson Summer Starts Program: Grades 6-8

Expand your middle school students’ skills and close learning gaps through Pearson's Summer Smarts program. At the beginning of the Summer Smarts program, students are assessed for placement in the academic continuum. Students are then able to progress through the program independently, with individual pathways that maximize help in the student’s area of need. A Pearson teacher will monitor student progress and provide weekly reports on student performance. Throughout the summer, students in the program will be invited to participate in weekly hands-on live activities for further engagement in math and reading. This program includes a teacher monitoring student progress and providing weekly reports on student performance. It uses Reading Plus (3-8) and Imagine Math (K-8).

Estimated Session Dates: June 27th, 2022 - July 29th, 2022

The cost for this program is $150 per student.
