Budget Information / Presentations
The budget for school districts is a multi-step process guided by Pennsylvania's Act 1. Haverford's school board adopted a budget within the Act 1 Index limit established by the Commonwealth. The District develops its budget through a series of public meetings, all of which are open to the community.

The budget supports the instructional and operational expenses needed to deliver services to the students. Below are the items funded with the adopted budget.
- Salaries and benefits
- Special education services required by state and federal law
- Instructional materials and supplies
- Student transportation
- Building operations, maintenance, and utilities
- Debt service, which is payment towards debt incurred for capital improvement projects
