Dear Chestnutwold School Community,

Thank you for another successful year.

Thank you for all of your support – again this year.

Thank you for contributing to our school community in ways that, together, make Chestnutwold an example for what elementary school should be for children, teachers and staff, and families.

Our school community continues to grow stronger and better each year. The collective regard we share for our school and its mission. The high quality instruction delivered each day. Volunteerism. The preparation and efforts you and our teachers give every day. Common goals. Trusting relationships. Expectations. Fun. A school culture that evokes kindness; character; and so much more. Taken together, I trust it is easy to see why this year Chestnutwold was recognized as a National School of Character. Kudos to you.

In a world where so much is often taken for granted, step back for a moment to see the good fortunes that await us and our children each day here inside Chestnutwold. You too, I am sure, will understand with good reason why gratitude runs deep here.

I am honored to be the Principal of our fine school. I am proud to be part of this school community. I feel privileged to be part of the Haverford School District, and believe you do too.

I am excited to build on our great work this year, but for now, it is important that we prepare to enjoy our family and friends this summer vacation. Make lasting memories. Be safe. Be curious. Get out. Explore. And, of course, and say it with me: “Be Kind.”

Thank you everyone.
