Welcome to First Grade! My name is Christine LaBrasca and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year. I earned my Bachelors degree from Saint Joseph's University with a dual concentration in Elementary and Special Education. In 2010, I completed my Masters of Education degree with a Reading Specialist Certificate also from Saint Joseph's University. This is my tenth year teaching in the School District of Haverford Township and I am looking forward to another wonderful school year at Chestnutwold!
I grew up in Bucks County and currently live in Conshohocken. I come from a very close family and have a younger sister and brother. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, exercising, and spending time with my family and friends. During the summer I love to spend time at the beach!
First grade is a very exciting and important year! Your child will grow academically as well as socially. My goal is for each child to develop a love of school and an enthusiasm for learning. My classroom is a comfortable and stimulating environment in which all students can develop at their own rates and work toward becoming more independent.
My promise to you as parents is to consistently put your child's best interests first and keep you informed about your child's progress. I always welcome your input and support. Together, we can make this a truly special year for your child!
