Virtual Day
What to Expect on a Virtual Day
At some point this school year, a virtual day of learning may become necessary for a number of reasons. If this is the case, we will provide as much notice as possible to our teachers, students, and families. Read below to learn more about what to expect in the event of a virtual day.
-
Students will follow the typical schedule for a traditional school day or an early dismissal day if it is designated as one on the district calendar.

Students are required to participate and complete assigned work in order to be marked present for the day/class.
-
When possible, teachers will send students home with any materials that will support them during the virtual learning session.
-
Students/Families will check their Canvas page and/or an email from their teacher(s) to find the appropriate schedule and Zoom links.
-
Each period/subject will begin with a live Zoom meeting and allow independent work as needed throughout the period/class.
-
Teachers will remain available via Zoom for students who need to check back in with questions during independent work

-
If your child's teacher is absent during a virtual day your child will access an assignment that can be completed independently.
-
Related service providers will email students/parents directly with a Zoom link and any other pertinent information.

As always, our goal is to keep our school buildings open for in-person instruction. Our educators continue to go to great lengths to support student learning, no matter the format. We recognize that a virtual day presents challenges for many families and appreciate your help in supporting students if they ever need to navigate a virtual day.
