Dear Haverford School District Parents and Guardians,

You are invited to attend and participate in a Parent and Guardian Forum being held as another part of our initiative to strengthen our sense of belonging and to ensure that our schools and district as a whole are welcoming places.  As such, we will continue to lean in to important equity, diversity, and inclusivity conversations, to deepen understanding and support our students and families.  The forum will be held on May 20, 2019 from 7-9pm at the Haverford High School.

The Haverford School District is committed to having 'courageous conversations' focused on unifying our community and identifying solutions that celebrate the diversity within this wonderful town. This forum will provide us with the opportunity to come together, listen, and support each other as we identify ways to ensure that every child, family, and staff feel welcomed and supported. We would love to have your voice at this important discussion. If you are interested in participating, please complete the online registration link below.  Paper copies are also available in all of the school offices.

We are excited to engage in discussions and activities that provide space and opportunity for you to share your experiences.  Due to space limitations and depending on the number of registrations we understand there may be a need to schedule another forum.  Please make sure you register as soon as possible if you would like to participate on May 14th.

Dr. Tara Doaty from Sage Wellness will be our facilitator for the evening.  Dr. Doaty has worked with students, staff and parents in the Lower Merion School District and we look forward to the work she will facilitate in our District.  We thank the Haverford Township Education Foundation for the financial support they are providing for this event.
