Web Communications and Design – BU01500 - one credit, one semester, open to students in ALL levels. Open to all grades. No prerequisite.
This project-based course will enable students to create high quality web sites using the industry leading Dreamweaver® software. Students will also use PhotoShop for graphics. In addition to building web sites, students will cover related topics such as Search Engine Optimization; E-Mail marketing, managing Pay Per Click campaigns, google analytics and using social networking to drive website traffic.
Course expectations and outcomes are:
Students will act as project managers, art directors, content editors, and web site testing coordinators.
Students will use the same tools and methods used by many industry professionals.
Students will become proficient in project planning and production, graphic and user interface design, HTML and XHTML programming, and more.
