• Historic Preservation Visit

Ms. Beverlee Barnes, Historic Preservation Manager for the Delaware County Planning Department visited Mrs. Turek's fourth grade Seminar class. The Seminar students are studying architecture, and Ms. Barnes led a discussion on what role architecture plays in our culture, past and present. She talked about historic preservation in other countries and America, and how immigration influenced building styles. She reviewed popular architectural styles in our community and instructed the students how to look at a building to gather important information. She also presented information about city planning.
