  • Text organization

In Miss Smith's Language Arts class, we have been learning about different ways author's organize text. Some ways include; problem and solution, chronological, question and answer, cause and effect, and compare and contrast. It is important to be able to identify the text organization and find evidence to show this from the text. During reading, Miss Smith's class rotated around the room reading different pages from many different books. Each group had to identify the text organization of the book and evidence to prove it. After moving to each table, each group shared their book. This was a great activity to review different genre types too! We had so much fun and learned a lot! Click to see pictures.
