Jack McGovern
Geography Bee Finalist

Seventh grader, Jack McGovern, won our school-wide Geography Bee in January and qualified to attend the state Geography Bee through a written test. Jack was one of about 100 students in the state to compete at this level. Jack moved through all of the preliminary rounds and ended up being one of 11 finalists.  Rules require that there are only 10 contestants that can proceed to the final round so there was an elimination round held. Although Jack did not end up the final winner, he is to be congratulated for going so far in the rounds.
