All 6th graders should report to homeroom at 2:05 today for a Camp Canadensis presentation. Please do not stop at your locker, go directly to homeroom so that there is enough time to make the camp presentation and allow time to answer questions.

Hola HMS! Want to spice up your spring? Be a volunteer at the Senior Citizen Fiesta on Friday, May 5th from 5:00 to 7pm and have fun with your friends and some of the coolest people in Havertown! Sign-up outside of Mrs. McGlone's room, 151. THe last day to volunteer is today (Friday)!

HMS! It's time to stuff your pockets with poems! Today (Friday) is Poem in Your Pocket Day! If you're stopped in the hall, share your poem with friends, teachers - anyone that has a sense of hearing. Let's see what rhythmic goodies you can fill you pockets with!

Today (Friday) is the last day to hand your form to volunteer at the Haverford Kid Comic Fest to Ms. Hay. If you need an extra copy, you can find them at the library.

Attention all 8th grade students! Career day is set for Friday, May 26th! In order to check out possible career paths, you must complete the Career Test and Career Placement Forms today (Friday). Go to the HMS website under Academics - 8th grade and look for the Career Day link on the left hand side. Ask your teachers for assistance if you need help locating the links!

The final open Actor's Workshop of the year will take place on Tuesday. This will be our last chance to prepare for our end of the year show and decide on our performers. Room 152 right after school. Be there.

The National Honor Society is collecting books for all ages to donate to local shelters and hospitals. Books can be dropped off in the Main Office. It's a great time to spring clean your book shelves and donate great reading material.

Congratulations to the Boys' Track team for winning both meets yesterday against TE and Beverly Hills! Stellar performances and many personal bests led us to the wins! Drew G, John M and Nathan M all had first place finishes! Curtis Weh broke the school record for Long Jump with his first place finish and Rob Vollbrecht broke the school record for the 95lb 100 meter dash with his first place finish! Great job boys! Don't forget about Rita's this afternoon!

The 7th grade softball team defeated a tough Garnett Valley 11-1 yesterday. The Lady Fords played a well rounded game. Good luck today at Welsh Valley. Way to Go Girls!!

Congrats to the 8th grade softball team for defeating Garnet Valley yesterday 19-0!
