 Residents of Haverford Township School District are invited to enroll their children in the Haverford Township School District's Summer Music Program for elementary and secondary students.    You are highly encouraged to register and pay online; however, registration forms for each session are available from the district's music teachers.  More than one music class can be taken, schedule permitting.   The dates for each session are as follows:   the first 3-week session will be held June25th through July 13th; the second 3-week session will be held from July 16ththrough August 3rd; and the full 6-week session will be held from June 25ththrough August 3rd.   There will be no classes on July 4th.               

Students may opt for either of the two 3-week sessions or the full 6-week program.  

 
Elementary Chorus and Middle School Band and Orchestra classes will be held during the first 3-week session only.

Instrumental class schedules and assignments will be mailed by June 15, 2012. Instrumental lessons will be scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.   No refunds will be given after the start of the program.

 
You may register for one or more of the following choices:

 
BEGINNING INSTRUMENTAL INSTRUCTION (PDF):  Three 30-minute lessons per week forthose having completed grades 3, 4, or 5. 

 
INTERMEDIATE INSTRUMENTAL INSTRUCTION: (PDF)   For those having completed one year of instruction:  two 30-minute lessons and two 50-minute ensemble periods perweek.
                                              
ADVANCED INSTRUMENTAL INSTRUCTION:  (PDF) For those having completed two years of instruction or by recommendation from the instructor.  Cost includes two 30-minute lessons per week and two 50-minute ensembles perweek.   
 
PIANO INSTRUCTION: BEGINNING & INTERMEDIATE CLASSES: (PDF) For those having completed grade4.  Classroom instruction will be offered using electronic piano keyboards.  Three 30-minute lessons per week. 
 
MIDDLE SCHOOL INSTRUMENTAL INSTRUCTION:  (PDF) 3 weeks only (6/25-7/13): For those entering 7th, 8th, or 9th
grades.  Cost includes two 30-minute lessons per week, two 50-minute ensembles per week, and two 50-minute jazz improvisation classes per week.  The cost is the same no matter how many MS classes are taken.

 
ELEMENTARY CHORUS:  (PDF) 3 weeks only (6/25-7/13): For those enteringgrades 4, 5, or 6.  Classes will meet daily from 12:15-2:15.
