HHS Senior Kayla Blair received the Widener University High School Leadership Award. She is the first student to be recognized from Haverford High School. Widener University, in partnership with WCAU-TV NBC10, recognized winners on March 20, 2014 at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
The news media has been reporting daily on the recent Ebola Outbreak and Entero D68 Virus. While these are worrisome news reports to all of us, we take our guidance from the State Department of Health and there are NO recommendations to limit school attendance or school activities. As a school district we monitor the attendance and heath of our students daily. Our maintenance staff is paying close attention to cleaning our buildings. There are many students in the building who have allergies to many different substances. Please be aware of what you are eating and what you are carrying or may be wearing. Some students are allergic to peanuts, latex, or many different types of perfume. Please be respectful of others and ensure that you are not causing any harm to other students.
