Mix-It-Up Model School
Haverford Middle School was recognized as a "MIX IT UP MODEL SCHOOL" for our efforts to promote tolerance and understanding! There were 6,000 schools that participated in Mix It Up Day, but HMS was recognized for encouraging staff and students to cross social boundaries that so often divide us. Let's keep up the good work, HMS

Throughout the year, we will be keeping you updated on people, places and things related to where we spend the majority of our time, here at HMS. We hope to cover everything from sports, to events, to interviews with our featured teacher. We will also include a section featuring an article from our principal, Mr. Horan. Our goal is have you more connected to our Middle School.

    Weather Days - Instructional Calendar
Due to the additional weather day this week, we are revising the 2013-2014 Instructional Calendar. The Pennsylvania Department of Education has provided guidance, which will allow Haverford, as of this date, March 4, 2014, to take Wednesday, June 18, 2014, as an additional instructional day.  If other weather days are necessary we would first turn to Monday, April 21, 2014 and then to the week of April 14 (Spring Break) and add instructional days as necessary.

  • Bus Pass
Students, if you ride a bus to or from school you must have your bus pass with you.  The bus drivers have been directed to check bus passes frequently. You will not be permitted to ride the bus without this pass.
If you have lost your pass you should see your grade level secretary early in the day, well before dismissal.
